Control and tempo
Speed is a variable you can experiment with, not a measure of ability.

What it is
Tempo is how fast you move through each phase of an exercise. Control is your ability to change tempo on purpose — including stopping halfway.
Why we practise it
Slowing down reveals the parts of a movement you were previously passing through. Speeding up tests whether the pattern holds.
What to notice
- Where in the range you speed up without meaning to.
- Whether you can pause at any point.
Try this
Take one familiar exercise and halve the speed. What appears that wasn't there before?
